Demet OGER is an accomplished actress, model and published author whose glamorous image has graced the cover of many international magazines and fashion shows all over Europe and the United States.

Demet has also worked with very well known designers in many different countries throughout the world and is a very talented author whose poetry books have been published in Turkey and Europe.

Demet was born in Ankara on May 3, and she is the youngest of four siblings.

She grew up in a relatively affluent family, living in Ankara, Istanbul and some of the European countries where her family ran their businesses.

At sixteen, Demet met a model scout in Paris who offered her a modeling contract; she accepted, but at 19 she stopped modeling for a while to finish her college degree.

Since her father wanted her to have a college degree, she decided to major in performing arts.

Demet`s dream was not to become a model but a writer.

She entered a poem contest in her native language and won. That event ignited her love for writing and stimulated her to keep writing and attend various poetry writing seminars.

Afterwards, she participated in many poetry writing contests, winning some of these.

Among her favorites are Nazim Hikmet, Orhan Veli Kanik, Oscar Wilde, Victor Hugo, Louis Aragon and Paul Verlaine.

She has performed in various soap operas and TV shows.

She also works with various foundations raising money for children in need around the world.

One of her dreams is to travel to all the countries in the world doing this charity work.

Currently, she is working on a new television show and modeling on her free time.
